Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide regulated medical waste and sharps disposal services for the Western Branch Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The contractor will be responsible for picking up, transporting, and disposing of regulated medical waste and sharps on a weekly basis. The estimated volume of waste is 4,500 lbs/year of regulated medical waste and 10,000 lbs/year of sharps. The contractor will also be required to provide emergency/contingency collections in accordance with the Statement of Work.
• The contract will be for a base period with multiple option periods.
• The contractor must be able to provide a container exchange program and facilitate extra pickups as needed.
• The contractor must be able to meet the Government's requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work section of the solicitation.
• The quotation will be evaluated based on the extent to which it can meet and/or exceed the Government's requirements.
