Home Repair Program

The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) is soliciting qualified contractors to perform residential dwelling repairs for low-income, owner-occupied homes in the City and County of Sacramento. The program serves approximately 100 households per year, with maximum repair costs not exceeding $10,000 per household. Contractors must hold specific California contractor license classifications, including B, C-10, C-20, C-36, and C-39. The contract will be for an initial period of five years, with no option to renew. The scope of work includes health and safety code-related deficiencies, and contractors must comply with applicable local and state regulations. • The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is subject to Section 3 requirements. • Contractors must maintain reliable communication during normal business hours and provide industry-standard workmanship. • The contract includes requirements for insurance, prevailing wage, and compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA). • The selection process will be based on a two-stage evaluation, with a technical proposal and a cost proposal. • The Agency reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, request additional information, or modify the project schedule.
