State Veterans Home Construction Grant Program

The State Veterans Home Construction Grant Program provides grants to State and Tribal Governments for the construction or renovation of State/Tribal owned and operated Veterans Extended Care Facilities. The Department of Veterans Affairs participation may not exceed 65% of the total project costs. The program is subject to the Public Law 117-58 Build America, Buy America Act. Applicants must submit a complete initial application on Grants.gov by April 15th to be eligible for listing on the Priority List for the next fiscal year. Required documents for all applications include project scope, forms SF424, SF424D, SF424C, budget justification worksheet, governor's designation of authorized state official and contact person, needs assessment, state clearinghouse comments, schematics, signed initial application certification, and safety citation/letter.
