OCEAN FLOOR MAPPING WITH LONG-ENDURANCE UNMANNED SYSTEMS

The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) is seeking information from industry partners to support the collection, processing, and databasing of high-resolution ocean floor mapping data. The office aims to enhance mission effectiveness by shifting tasks from government-owned, manned platforms to contractor-owned long-endurance Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV). The support required under this anticipated procurement is included in the Requirement Criteria. • The US Navy has a need globally for additional ocean floor mapping data in many ocean regions. • The office collects, processes, and databases a wide variety of high-resolution ocean floor mapping data. • The data are utilized in a variety of products that provide improved situation awareness for the Fleet. • The support required under this anticipated procurement is included in the Requirement Criteria.
