B026-51 Lincoln Paving Project

The City of Meriden is seeking bids for the reconstruction of the Lincoln Middle School parking lot. The project includes the removal and replacement of pavement, curbing, drainage structure tops, pavement markings, and installation of sedimentation control measures. The contractor will be responsible for verifying existing field conditions and dimensions, and for coordinating with utility companies to avoid damage to existing utilities. The project consists of a base bid and two add alternates. • The base bid includes the reconstruction of the parking lot, including earth excavation, removal of concrete curbing, cutting of bituminous concrete pavement, and installation of new pavement markings. • Add Alternate 1 includes improvements to the loading bay area, including removal and reconstruction of curbing, pavement sections, and markings. • Add Alternate 2 includes the removal, disposal, and replacement of the concrete sidewalk located in the frontage of the school. The city reserves the right to construct either, both, or none of the add alternates, contingent on written authorization.
