Description

The Lee's Summit R7 School District is soliciting bids for the annual harvesting of an estimated 16 acres of property located on Mason School Road, East of Highway 7 in Blue Springs, MO, and an approximately 27.5 acres of property located on 2nd Avenue South in Greenwood, MO, which is in need of only hay removal and no harvesting. The District may elect to split the award among bidders. The term "harvest" is defined as a season within a calendar year, and the planting of the type of crops will require prior authorization and approval from the District before work commences. The District's preference is for a rotation of soybeans and wheat. Bidders may bid on either property or both properties. • The District is seeking a contractor to provide harvesting services for the properties. • The contractor will be responsible for harvesting the properties, with the option to plant crops other than wheat or soybeans with prior approval from the District. • The contractor will be required to provide equipment and personnel necessary for the harvesting. • The District will not provide facilities for storage of hay or equipment used by the contractor. • The contractor will be required to keep the balance of the land mowed for weed control. • The contract will be for a term of at least one year, with the option to renew for up to three additional one-year periods.

Budget estimate

$10,000 – $50,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $10,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on the specific services provided and the terms of the contract. The District is seeking a contractor to provide harvesting services for two properties, and the cost of these services will depend on the type and quantity of crops harvested, as well as the equipment and personnel required. The contract will be for a term of at least one year, with the option to renew for up to three additional one-year periods, so the total budget over the life of the contract could be in the range of $30,000 to $200,000.
