The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is hosting a virtual Industry Forum to gather information from the Medicare and claims processing industry. The forum aims to identify commercial best practices in delivering claims processing services. The DHA plans to award the TMEP2 contract to a single qualified prime contractor using full and open competition. The current TMEP contract expires on March 30, 2028.
Some key points to consider include:
• The TMEP2 contract will require the contractor to process claims for beneficiaries eligible for both Medicare and TRICARE.
• The contractor will be responsible for coordinating benefits with other health insurance to which the beneficiary is entitled or enrolled.
• The contractor will be required to propose its own transition approach, including an Integrated Master Plan and an Integrated Master schedule.
• The DHA will evaluate proposals based on criteria provided in the solicitation.
• The DHA will consider adding contract language and/or a special CLIN to allow for future innovations.
