BJA FY25 Byrne State Crisis Intervention Formula Program

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is providing funding for the creation or enhancement of state crisis intervention court proceedings and related programs or initiatives. This includes extreme risk protection order (ERPO) programs, mental health courts, drug courts, and veterans treatment courts. Only state governments are eligible to apply. The funding is authorized by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022. • The program aims to support law enforcement and combat violent crime. • The program will provide services to American crime victims and address public safety challenges. • The funding will be used to enhance or create crisis intervention court proceedings and related programs. • The program will focus on mental health, drug courts, and veterans treatment courts. • The application deadline is May 12, 2026.
