PREQUALIFICATION for Central Energy Facility and Piping Infrastructure Upgrades - Phase B

The College of Charleston is seeking a contractor to provide construction services for the renovation of the Central Energy Facility. The project includes the renovation of the cooling tower, chiller pumps and piping, removal of boilers, and electrical and controls upgrades. The project requires skilled pipe welders, pipe fitters, and riggers, and an AC5 and HT5 license is required. The construction cost range is estimated to be between $13,500,000 and $14,600,000. • The project involves heavy industrial work with a maximum pipe size of 24 inches. • The contractor must provide temporary cooling during outages. • The project requires envelope and roof upgrades. • The contractor must have experience with similar projects and must meet the requirements specified in the bid documents.
