Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified general contractor to add to and renovate the Central Utility Building (CUB) at Fermilab, a critical utility hub that supplies chilled water, hot water, low‑conductivity water, and makeup water to laboratory facilities. The work must be completed within the accelerator shutdown window (approximately January 2028 – January 2030) and includes structural additions, interior refurbishment, installation of large‑capacity chillers, medium‑voltage electrical upgrades, and associated civil and mechanical improvements.
• Scope covers full‑construction services: demolition, concrete work, steel framing, mechanical‑HVAC, electrical distribution, and site‑utility extensions.
