Request for Information - DC Correctional Treatment Facility Annex Project

The District of Columbia Department of General Services is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the development of a new and upgraded correctional facility. The project includes the construction of a new annex, renovation of select areas of the existing facility, extension of Massachusetts Avenue SE, and demolition and modification of select areas of the existing Central Detention Facility. The RFI is the first step in guiding the solicitation of design-build, design-build-finance-maintain, or other alternative proposals from interested respondents. • The project is located at 1901 E Street SE, Washington, DC 20003. • The estimated cost of the project is $1.2-$1.5 billion. • The project includes exploration of options for long-term preventative and lifecycle maintenance. • Respondents are required to submit an electronic copy of their proposal, which will be treated in accordance with applicable exemptions from disclosure.
