Pool Testing Services

The City of Indianapolis and Marion County is seeking bids for pool testing services. The contractor will be responsible for sampling and testing swimming pool, splash pad, and beach water at various locations. The services will include weekly sampling, testing for Total Coliform and E. coli, and reporting results to the Marion County Health Department. The contractor must be an Indiana state certified laboratory and maintain certification throughout the term of the agreement. The contract will be for a term of two years, with the option to renew. • The contractor will sample and test swimming pool, splash pad, and beach water at various locations. • The contractor will perform Total Coliform and E. coli presence/absence tests for all swimming pools and splash pads. • The contractor will perform HPC (Heterotrophic Thirty-Five (35) Degree Centigrade Plate Count) and Most Probable Number (MPN) tests for all swimming pools and splash pads. • The contractor will enter results into the Marion County's database within four work-days of taking the sample. • The contractor will directly notify the appropriate Indy Parks representative of bacteria presence ("failed" test) the day results are determined.
