RFQu Building Inspection Services Qualified Pool

The City of Eugene is seeking to establish a pool of qualified building inspectors for on-site building inspections on a contractual and/or as-needed basis. The selected inspectors will provide services within the scope of their certification, including inspections of structural and mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing systems. The inspectors will determine violations and provide correction notices as necessary. The City may enter into a contract with a pool participant at any time, and the contract may include provisions for payment, performance, and termination. The City is interested in products and services that have a reduced impact on human health and the environment and that support communities and economies. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing on-site building inspections for the City of Eugene on a contractual and/or as-needed basis • Inspecting residential and commercial structures to ensure compliance with applicable Oregon Specialty Codes and Eugene Code • Determining violations and providing correction notices as necessary • Providing electronic documentation of inspections via PDF format • Meeting the City's sustainability and social equity goals, including reducing waste, using environmentally preferable products, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
