Description
The United States Air Force is conducting market research to identify possible sources with the ability to transmit a Multiple In-Multiple Out (MIMO) signal Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) waveform in the S and C bands with the ability to cancel interference and null jamming beams. The waveform should operate at or below the local noise floor and enable over 250 miles of Air-Ground Line of Sight communication. The system needs to be compatible with the AN/PRC-163 to support cross-branding data.
Key features and requirements of the system include:
• Materiel availability of components shall be sufficient to maintain > 80% of the system for 30 days of operations without failure
• Operational availability of > 80% over a 30-day period of 10 cycles of 72-hour missions
• Throughput of > 2 Mbps at 250 miles
• Ability to operate in S and C bands
• Low Probability of Intercept / Low Probability of Detection / AJ / Waveform threat protection
• Dual band Omni antennas with 4 dBi in S and C bands
• Directional Antenna with a peak gain of 12 dBi in S and C bands
• Interoperability with Ethernet and USB connections
• Security with AES-256 encryption (FIPS 140-3)
• Environmental operating temperature range of -40 °C to +70 °C
• Size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints of 5 x 3 x 2 inches, weight < 3lbs, and power consumption of 5-48 W
