Notice of Intent to Sole Source USAFA Wearable Performance Monitoring Ring Devices

The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) intends to award a sole-source contract for wearable performance monitoring ring devices. The devices will be used by cadets to measure biometric data, including blood oxygen levels, heart rate, body temperature, and sleep quality. The contract requires 50 devices that meet specific salient characteristics, such as accommodating ring sizes 6-15 and providing a rechargeable battery that lasts at least 5 days. The devices must also connect to an enterprise software solution that collects and analyzes data from all devices. • The devices must measure blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and heart rate variability. • The devices must provide a minimum of 75% agreement with a polysomnography sleep lab test. • The devices must feature a rechargeable battery that lasts a minimum of 5 days. • The devices must include an enterprise software solution that collects and analyzes data from all devices. • The devices must connect to the enterprise software application and not to the individual user.
