The City of Detroit is seeking a vendor for emergency residential demolition services at 8953 Clarion. The property is a 1.5 story, frame, 1 family dwelling that has been damaged by fire and is in imminent danger of collapse. The successful vendor will be required to demolish the property and remove any lead service lines, if present. The vendor must use backfill material from a Category 2 source approved on the City of Detroit Backfill platform. • The property is vacant and open to the elements, with a burnt roof and collapsed roof rafter, and a burnt front dormer collapsing into the house. • The vendor must comply with the "CDD_Abatement and Demolition_Contractor Discipline Policy_5.12.2025". • The City of Detroit will notify the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) upon receipt of BSEED Open Hole Approval, and DWSD will verify the existing water service line material and remove any lead service lines, if present, within five business days.
