Description

The City of Washougal is seeking a consultant to provide professional services for the design of systemic stop controlled intersections. The project aims to improve driver awareness and visibility at intersections, reducing the risk of collisions. The consultant will be responsible for preparing final design documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates, as well as providing engineering support during construction. The scope of work includes project management, construction documents, permitting, environmental services, and comprehensive engineering services. • The consultant will evaluate and apply low-cost, systemic safety countermeasures at multiple intersections with similar roadway characteristics. • The consultant will prepare a monthly progress report and attend meetings with the City staff and other officials as requested. • The consultant will be required to comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, codes, and regulations applicable to the work. • The consultant will be paid on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis, with a maximum total amount payable not to exceed the amount shown in the agreement. • The consultant will be required to provide a certificate of current cost or pricing data and to comply with the requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project is estimated to be between $200,000 and $500,000, based on the scope of work and the cost-plus-fixed-fee payment structure. The actual budget will depend on the consultant's actual costs and the fixed fee agreed upon in the contract. Factors that may influence the budget include the complexity of the design, the number of intersections involved, and the level of engineering support required during construction.
