Description
The City of Asheville is seeking a qualified vendor to supply and install fire hydrants throughout the municipality. The solicitation covers three‑foot and four‑foot dry‑barrel hydrants (AWWA C‑502, FM, UL listed) as well as a limited quantity of two‑inch post‑flush hydrants for non‑fire‑protective use. All units must meet extensive technical specifications, be new and factory‑authorized, and be delivered to the City’s Water Warehouse. The contract will be awarded on a lowest‑responsive‑bid basis, with a 12‑month initial term and up to two optional 12‑month renewals. Vendors must be current on all city ad‑valorem taxes, provide required insurance, and comply with the city’s MWBE inclusion policy.
• Supply and install 120 × 3‑ft / 6‑in dry‑barrel hydrants and 120 × 4‑ft / 6‑in dry‑barrel hydrants (AWWA C‑502, FM, UL).
• Supply 10 × 2‑in post‑flush hydrants (ANSI/AWWA C‑502, ISO 9001).
• Must meet detailed material, finish, and performance specs; provide certifications and warranty; deliver FOB to City Water Warehouse; installation expected within 10‑14 days after award.
