One (1) 20’ Box Trucks - Single Axle, Conventional Cab, Tilt-Hood Truck

The University of Iowa Fleet Services is seeking a proposal for a 20’ box truck with specific requirements, including a single axle, conventional cab, and tilt-hood truck. The vehicle must meet various specifications, such as a Cummins B6.7 engine, Allison automatic transmission, and a 20' van body with a usable depth of 19’6”. The proposal must include pricing, specifications, and exceptions to the requirements. The goal is to replace existing vehicles with new ones that meet the specified requirements. • The proposal must include a completed vehicle that can haul a minimum 11,000# payload and meet CDL limits with a GVWR of 26,000. • The vehicle must have a cab to axle length of approximately 186" and a lowest cab step of 10 inches from the ground. • The proposal must include pricing for options that increase the payload and a working payload after all accessories, full fuel tank, liftgate, and a driver with passenger. • The vehicle must meet FMVSS 108 and have a 360-degree birds-eye camera system. • The proposal must include a Thermo-King T890 with reinforcement, shore power option, and TK BlueBox telematics package. • The vehicle must have a dock plate that is flat across the entire width of the back of the truck and a liftgate with a 2500-pound capacity.
