Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from businesses to provide a comprehensive education and training program for Sterile Processing personnel. The program will utilize the MySPD Education and Training platform powered by Incision and will include e-learning courses, competency tracking, and on-site support. The contractor will provide training services, including core SPD training, flexible endoscope reprocessing, and specialty instruments reprocessing. The program aims to enhance staff competency, regulatory readiness, and adherence to industry standards.
Key features of the program include:
• 22 multimedia e-learning courses covering 7 major themes
• 8 specialized courses for endoscope reprocessing
• 7 specialized courses for complex surgical instrument reprocessing
• Competency tracking software
• Quarterly reviews of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Monthly pulse checks and quarterly in-services
• Virtual certification courses
The period of performance will include a base year plus four option years, and the place of performance will be the West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, TX.
