Description
The North Texas Veterans Healthcare System (VANTHCS) is seeking a contractor to perform comprehensive water quality testing for its Sterile Processing Services (SPS) at two VA facilities in Dallas and Fort Worth. The work follows the ANSI/AAMI ST108:2023 standard and includes monthly critical water testing, quarterly utility water and steam testing, sample collection, laboratory analysis, reporting, and rapid re‑testing when thresholds are exceeded. The contract is a base‑year with four optional one‑year extensions, totaling up to five years of service. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, a fully certified laboratory, all sampling supplies, chain‑of‑custody procedures, and comply with VA security and HIPAA requirements.
• Perform monthly critical water testing and quarterly utility/steam testing at specified locations.
• Collect, ship, and analyze samples in a VA‑approved laboratory; deliver results within 10 days.
• Provide immediate notification and repeat testing for any out‑of‑spec results.
• Supply all personnel, equipment, licenses, sampling containers, shipping labels, and PPE.
• Submit consolidated monthly reports and an annual summary of on‑call/emergency tests.
• Maintain VA security protocols, including badge issuance and PHI protection.
