21-007, Property Clean-Up, Board-Up and Bracing Services

The City of Pawtucket is seeking contractors to provide ongoing property clean‑up, board‑up, and emergency shoring/bracing services under a continuous‑recruitment contract. The work includes removing vegetation, debris, and rodent harborage; securing vacant or unsafe structures with OSB board; and providing structural shoring on an as‑needed basis. Contractors must be licensed in Rhode Island, capable of 24/7 emergency response within two hours, and able to furnish bid, performance, and fidelity bonds as well as comprehensive insurance. The contract is initially for three years with two optional one‑year extensions, and the City may award to multiple vendors. • Clean‑up of overgrown vegetation, litter, bulky debris, and rodent‑attracting materials within 2–3 days of a court order. • Board‑up of dangerous openings using minimum 7/16‑inch OSB, secured with drywall screws, painted white, and documented with before/after photos. • Emergency shoring/bracing services for structurally unsafe buildings, requiring a Rhode Island contractor’s license. • Mandatory 24/7 emergency response (≤ 2‑hour onsite) and 24‑hour board‑up completion; bids require a ≥ 5 % bid bond; contract length 3 years + optional extensions.
