Town Wide Solid Waste and Recycling

The Town of Fountain Hills is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide curbside solid waste collection and disposal services, bulk waste collection and disposal services, recycling services, and green waste services within the corporate limits of the town. The selected contractor will be responsible for collecting and disposing of solid waste, bulk waste, recyclable materials, and green waste, as well as providing special event solid waste services and recycling collection. The contractor will also be required to provide walk-up collection services for residential solid waste and recyclable materials from residential service units where all adult occupants are handicapped or have verified physical limitations. The town estimates that 30% of its residents are part-time, and the contractor will need to take this into account when providing services. Some key highlights of the scope of work include: * Collecting solid waste from approximately 9,300 serviceable units * Providing bulk waste collection services at least once per year * Collecting recyclable materials via single stream in residential recycling carts * Providing green waste collection services to residents who have selected this option and are willing to pay the additional cost * Providing special event solid waste and recycling collection services * Providing walk-up collection services for residential solid waste and recyclable materials from residential service units where all adult occupants are handicapped or have verified physical limitations * Maintaining accurate records and providing reports to the town as required
