Description
The National Park Service is seeking a vendor to provide a tree handler rental service for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The rental period is 11 weeks, from September 28th, 2026, to December 11th, 2026. The vendor must provide a machine that meets the specified requirements, including a wheeled machine with a total operating weight of no greater than 48,000 lbs, an engine horsepower of no less than 160, and a working reach of no less than 40 feet. The vendor will be responsible for delivering and picking up the equipment, providing operator training, and servicing the equipment during the rental period.
• The machine must have a low hours and minimal tail swing radius.
• The machine must have an all-wheel drive and an elevating, covered, and climate-controlled cab.
• The machine must have a hydraulic attachment quick connects and a high flow hydraulic system.
• The vendor must provide comprehensive, machine-specific operator training.
• The vendor must respond to emergency service requests within a reasonable timeframe.
