Trommel Screen

The City of Omaha is requesting bids for a trommel screen, a machine used for sorting and processing materials. The bid specifications include requirements for the engine, electrical system, fuel capacity, hopper and apron conveyor belt, trommel drum, overs conveyor, and fines conveyor. The machine must be new and unused, with a minimum of 74 HP and Tier 4 or Tier 5 final emissions compliant engine. The bid also includes requirements for warranties, documentation, training, and delivery. • The trommel screen must have a drum size of at least 6’ 5” in diameter and 20’ in length, with a 3/8” thick perforated punch plated drum construction. • The machine must have a tandem axle chassis with pintle hook and an operating weight of 37,700 lbs to 42,000 lbs. • The bid includes optional equipment such as remote control, tracks instead of tandem axles, and a 3/8” thick punch plate drum screen. • The successful bidder will be required to provide training and delivery of the machine to the City of Omaha’s Composting location.
