Psychiatry Services-Weekend/Holiday Onsite Coverage Louisville VA Medical Center

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide onsite weekend and holiday psychiatry services at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The contractor will be required to provide a total of six board-certified or board-eligible psychiatry physicians who are competent, qualified, and adequately trained to perform assigned duties. The scope of work includes inpatient care, outpatient care, clinic and residential care, peer review, and administrative tasks. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all records pertaining to medical care and services provided to VA patients are captured in the VA electronic health record system. The contract will be for a period of one year, with an estimated 1,000 hours of work per year. * Key responsibilities include: * Providing onsite weekend and holiday psychiatry services * Ensuring all records are captured in the VA electronic health record system * Providing peer review of selected cases * Participating in quality management and quality assurance activities * Ensuring compliance with VA policies and procedures * Providing professional liability insurance for all staff providing services under the contract
