Description
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences seeks a sole‑source provider to serve as the master accreditation partner for its forensic laboratories under a four‑year agreement. The contract covers ANAB accreditation fees, on‑site ISO/IEC 17025 assessments, surveillance visits (with and without witnessing), and a QAS audit, across multiple lab locations (Auburn, Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Dothan, and Pelham). The provider must supply qualified assessors, manage travel logistics, and invoice the State in accordance with the $25,000 ceiling and annual price‑escalation limits.
• Provide accreditation fees for seven forensic labs covering drug chemistry, firearm/tool‑mark, and implied consent sections.
• Conduct 16 assessors on‑site for 1–5‑day assessments in May 2026, plus annual surveillance (with/without witnessing) in April of subsequent years.
• Perform a QAS audit in April 2028 concurrent with surveillance, deploying five assessors for 3–4 days.
