Description
The Navajo Division of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to supply, install, and commission a fully FAA‑approved Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS III PT) at Tuba City Airport. The scope includes procurement of the complete system, civil works for tower and foundations, electrical and communications infrastructure, system integration, testing, FAA commissioning support, training, and delivery of all warranties and documentation. Bidders must demonstrate experience on comparable AWOS installations, provide manufacturer authorization, and meet bonding and insurance requirements. The solicitation has been updated by Addendum #1, extending the electronic bid deadline to September 1 2026 and shifting submission to email.
• Provide a complete AWOS III PT system (sensors, processor, tower, cabinets, remote‑monitoring equipment, software, manuals, warranties).
• Perform civil construction (tower, foundations, trenching, conduit, grounding, surge protection, fencing, site restoration).
• Install, configure, and functionally test the system, including VHF, telephone/data, and FAA network interfaces; coordinate FAA inspection and commissioning.
• Supply manufacturer start‑up support, qualified commissioning‑technician support, training, and all required close‑out documentation.
• Include a separate 6 % Navajo Nation sales‑tax line item in the bid schedule and meet all qualification, bonding, and insurance criteria.
