SKIP LOADER with TRAILER

The County of Kern is seeking a quotation for a new and unused CAT 415IL 4x4 Skip Loader with a Front Loader, Clam Bucket, and Gannon Spreader, or equivalent, along with a Zieman Model 2347 Trailer, or equivalent. The unit will be delivered to 5438 Victor Street, Bakersfield, CA 93308, and the vendor shall off-load the equipment, service it, and provide a testing demonstration. The quotation must include the price for the skip loader and trailer, as well as any additional services or features. Some key features required for the skip loader include: * Enclosed cab with a front loader and clam bucket * Gannon 3-way spreader box * Turbocharged engine with at least 70HP * Operating weight of over 11,000 pounds * Maximum height of 9'6" with standard tires * Maximum width of 7'9" with a clam bucket * Engine meeting U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards * Hydraulic system with high-pressure hoses and a minimum 35 gpm pump * 4WD capability with a pendulum-mounted front axle * Service brakes with a brake mode selector switch and parking/secondary brakes * Operator's station with an air conditioner, horn, audible back-up alarm, and electric fuel system shut-off * Loader with a largest clam bucket available and a minimum lift capacity of 6,750 pounds The trailer must be 28 feet in length, with a 24-foot tilting flat bed and a 4-foot front deck, and have a GVWR of at least 40,000 pounds. The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and the award will be made to the vendor that best meets the needs of the department.
