Norfolk Harbor and Channel to Newport News Maintenance Dredging located in Hampton Roads, Virginia

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Norfolk District is anticipating a future procurement for a firm-fixed-price construction contract for the Norfolk Harbor and Channel to Newport News Maintenance Dredging Project. The project involves dredging approximately 600,000 cubic yards of maintenance material from the Sewells Point to Lamberts Bend Federal channel segment and approximately 200,000 cubic yards of maintenance material from the Channel to Newport News Federal channel segment. The work requires special requirements and precautions when dredging over the Navy Degaussing Array and in the vicinity of protected cultural resources. • The construction period of performance will be approximately 175 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). • The estimated construction price range for this project is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. • NAICS Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, applies to this project. • The Government is seeking eligible firms capable of performing maintenance dredging and is requesting capability packages and responses to determine an acquisition strategy.
