Description
Binghamton University has been granted single source approval for the procurement of an Immersive Labs Dome from Bertec Corporation. This is an integrated system with dome to generate virtual reality environments and a dual-belt treadmill to challenge walking. This system can mimic real-life falls from slips and trips. This equipment allows Binghamton University to lead the way in studying balance, walking control, and fall risks, ultimately helping people perform physical functions more safely in their daily lives.
