Description
The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide engineering, furnishing, installing, and testing of a new transport equipment for radio, voice, and data requirements at Aviano Air Base in Italy. The equipment will replace the existing Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) Channel Banks with a new fiber optic transmission system (FOTS). The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, and services necessary to complete the project. The project includes the installation of two distinct systems, replacing the existing manufacturer discontinued TDM Channel Banks with a new FOTS. The FOTS shall be for a total of seven facilities, including the Instrument Landing System (ILS) shelters, Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN), Ground/Air Transmitter/Receiver (GATR), Ramp Control (RAPCON), Tower, and Alternate (Alt) Tower.
• The contractor must provide a detailed installation plan, including a list of materials, material specifications, and pricing data.
• The contractor must provide a quality control plan, including measures to ensure the quality of work, on-site and off-site technical and administrative support, and methods for handling deficiencies.
• The contractor must provide a staffing plan, including proposed labor categories, experience, security clearances, and technical certifications of management and installation personnel.
• The contractor must provide an installation schedule, including applicable milestones for the project through completion, and any required data submittals.
