Description
The Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC East) is seeking a contractor to demolish a non-functional mobile paint blast booth at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment necessary to cut down the paint blast booth and place debris into government-furnished containers. The government will provide support, including identification and assessment of hazardous material concerns, government-furnished containers for demolition debris, and facility access coordination. The contractor must comply with all applicable OSHA requirements and installation safety requirements.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Demolition of the paint blast booth using a plasma cutter
• Coordination with the government HAZMAT team
• Development of a demolition work plan and site-specific safety plan
• Compliance with all applicable safety requirements
• Maintenance of daily housekeeping and leaving the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
