Foxhole Wheelwash Facility

The project involves the construction of a wheel wash facility, wheel wash settling basin, installation of approximately 700 feet of six-inch PVC waterline and associated valves, asphalt surfacing, and other ancillary items at the Foxhole Landfill in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The project aims to provide equal opportunities to minority, women, and small businesses, with a goal of 3% for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 3% for Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation. • The project requires bidders to be licensed as General Contractors in compliance with NCGS 87. • A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on October 30, 2025. • Contract documents can be obtained from the offices of Smith Gardner, Inc. upon payment of $150.00 for each set of documents. • Electronic copies of the contract documents are available from the engineer at no cost. • Questions regarding the scope of work must be delivered in writing to Spencer Hollomon, P.E. via email at [email protected] at least five days prior to the bid opening date.
