Sole Source Notification - Helium Recovery and Reliquefaction System

The University of Wyoming intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Bluefors for a Helium Recovery and Reliquefaction System. The system will provide a reliable and cost-effective supply of liquid helium for the entire University of Wyoming. The system must meet specific requirements, including a larger-than-usual helium collection bag, a cryocooled autopurifier, and pulse tube cryocoolers. Interested parties may submit a Statement of Capabilities to determine if they can provide a comparable product. • The system must be able to collect and reliquefy evaporated helium gas from participating cryogenic laboratories. • The system must be designed to function reliably with minimal user intervention. • The system must require as little routine maintenance as possible. • The University will only accept electronic submissions received in BidNet's electronic solicitation portal on or before 2:00 PM (MT) on November 3rd, 2025.
