SSC Advance Skirts Systems

The Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting a survey of approved sources for the manufacture of Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) skirts to be used for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) craft. The announcement is to satisfy DFARS PGI 206.302-1, which allows for other than full and open competition. Approved sources are Avon Engineered Fabrications LLC and SMR Acquisition LLC, who have already undergone a testing and qualification program. The procurement will be based on the unique capabilities of these suppliers. Key points to consider: • The skirt materials and manufacturing processes must meet specific requirements. • The skirts will be fabricated in accordance with NSWC PCD drawings. • Access to the drawings is limited to the Department of Defense and U.S. DoD Contractors. • The government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside or 8(a) set-aside based on responses.
