Notice No. 26-58 - CU Boulder-UCB001511-Division 00 & 01 Specifications

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a qualified partner to create, standardize, and maintain Division 00 (General Requirements) and Division 01 (Summary) specifications that will be used across all campus construction projects. The effort will produce a consistent, easily‑accessible framework for project requirements, support a variety of delivery methods and project sizes, and include recommendations for implementation and ongoing maintenance. This work is intended to improve project quality, ensure predictable contractor interactions, and provide clear expectations for architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams. • Develop comprehensive Division 00 and 01 specifications applicable to a broad range of construction projects. • Create a maintenance plan and implementation recommendations for the university’s facilities staff. • Ensure the specifications are adaptable to multiple delivery methods (e.g., design‑bid, design‑build) and project scales. • Deliver documentation in a format that is user‑friendly and searchable for campus stakeholders. • Provide guidance to promote consistency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness across future projects.
