Qualified Environmental Professional Services

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs is seeking a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) to provide technical oversight and program support for the implementation of their EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant. The QEP will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments, addressing contaminated properties, and ensuring compliance with ASTM standards and grant requirements. The selected QEP will work closely with the OHA to ensure the successful completion of the grant project. Key aspects of the job include: * Conducting environmental assessments and site investigations * Developing and implementing remediation plans * Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations * Providing technical support and guidance to OHA staff * Collaborating with other stakeholders, including community groups and government agencies * Preparing and submitting reports and other documentation Some of the key qualifications and experience required for this position include: * A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science or engineering * A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation * Knowledge of ASTM standards and federal and state regulations * Experience working with Native Hawaiian communities and cultural competency * Strong technical and communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team The OHA is looking for a QEP with a strong background in environmental assessment and remediation, excellent technical and communication skills, and experience working with Native Hawaiian communities.
