Description
The Whitefish Township Community Schools is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to remove existing windows and install new Andersen 400 Series Double Hung Windows throughout the school facility. The project includes removal and disposal of existing windows, installation of new windows, interior and exterior finish repairs, proper insulation, and compliance with Michigan School Building Codes and Michigan Energy Code. The contractor must also provide training for designated staff on operation, maintenance, cleaning, and warranty procedures.
• The project requires the installation of Andersen 400 Series Double Hung Windows with Low-E4 insulated glass, vinyl-clad exterior, and wood or factory-finished interior.
• The contractor must ensure proper flashing, insulation, and weatherproofing.
• The gym work includes replacing lower windows and removing upper windows to install red lap siding.
• The contractor must maintain commercial general liability, workers' compensation, and motor vehicle liability insurance.
• The substantial completion date is August 1, 2026, with liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day for delays beyond this date.
