NIST Sitewide Handrail Project

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to construct, modify, and install permanent ADA-compliant handrail systems across the NIST Boulder Campus. The project includes verification of field conditions, demolition and replacement of select concrete stairs and curbs, fabrication and installation of handrails meeting dimensional, graspability, continuity, and safety standards, and coordination with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for inspections and approvals. The contractor will be responsible for site-specific safety planning, adherence to NIST security and access requirements, weekly progress coordination, and timely submission of required deliverables.
