BC-21457-M 15K Switch and Transformer Preventative Maintenance Contract IFB

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance services for its 15kV switches and transformers. The contract will be for a period of three years, with two optional one-year renewal periods. The contractor will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on the listed building's switches and transformers, following the manufacturer's specifications and NFPA 70B. The contractor must have five years of experience providing similar services and technicians must be certified by the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). • The contractor will perform preventative maintenance on 15kV switches and transformers, including visual and mechanical inspections, cleaning and lubrication, and testing. • The contractor will provide a report for switch and transformer test results, including the physical condition of the equipment and any repair recommendations. • The contractor will coordinate with UMBC to schedule shutdowns and provide single lines and access to the equipment necessary to complete the preventative maintenance. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those related to employment, safety, and environmental protection. • The contractor must also comply with UMBC's policies and procedures, including those related to procurement, contracting, and risk management.
