Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) are seeking artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled technologies to automate and optimize search and track functions for electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensors on Special Operations Forces (SOF) unique platforms. The goal is to enhance operation efficiency, reduce crew workload, and improve mission outcomes. • The technologies should demonstrate flexibility and adaptability across various systems and sensors integrated onto SOF platforms. • The solutions should leverage SOF platform EO/IR sensors to automate sensor control/operation and reduce crew workload. • The technologies should include advanced capabilities for detecting and tracking moving targets and automatically recognizing targets. • The solutions should prioritize computational efficiency, minimize hardware footprint, and be suitable for integration onto existing SOF systems. • The technologies should be compatible with open-source frameworks and architectures. • The respondents must be open to collaboration with third-party entities to facilitate integration and development of AI capabilities.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $10,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide a specific budget or funding amount. However, considering the complexity of the technologies sought and the fact that they will be integrated onto SOF platforms, the budget could be substantial. The estimate could be in the range of $1 million to $10 million, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of platforms that will be equipped with the technologies, the level of customization required, and the duration of the project.
