Special Tactics Complex, Oregon Air National Guard

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Seattle District is anticipating the issuance of a solicitation for the construction of a Special Tactics Complex at the Portland Air National Guard Base in Oregon. The project will involve the construction of a multi-building complex to support the 125 Special Tactics Squadron (STS), including a primary building of approximately 56,000 square feet, as well as separate buildings for vehicle maintenance, vehicle storage, and hazardous material storage. The complex will require specialized spaces to support assigned simulators and climbing towers, and will be designed in accordance with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria and local design standards. • The project will consolidate STS functions from several older facilities into a centrally located complex. • The complex will include a primary building, vehicle maintenance shop, vehicle storage shed, and hazardous storage building. • The facility will be designed to support Unit Command, Squadron Operations, Communications, Dive Locker, Human Performance Program, Aircrew Flight Equipment, Combat Arms Training and Maintenance, Simulators, Logistics, Mission Alert Storage, Individual Equipment Storage, Vehicle Maintenance, and Vehicle Storage. • The project will require the use of local materials and construction techniques where cost-effective. • The facility will be constructed in accordance with Oregon Department of Environmental Quality storm water requirements.
