Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking information from respondents with solutions to modernize the Alaska Flight Service management system from its legacy Operational and Supportability Implementation System (OASIS) to a modern, web-based cloud automation system. The Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) aims to provide a system capable of meeting the demands of today and the future. The challenge-based acquisition focuses on evaluating solutions for safety, efficiency, and innovation. The scope of work includes flight planning functions, coordination of Search and Rescue (SAR) activities, and maintenance of weather broadcasts.
Key aspects of the project:
• Replacement of the legacy OASIS system with a modern, web-based cloud automation system
• Provision of flight planning functions, weather briefings, and aeronautical information management
• Support for Search and Rescue (SAR) activities and maintenance of weather broadcasts
• Compliance with FAA Orders and Policies
• Adherence to security controls for Government cloud solutions
