Description
The Department of Health, Bureau of Public Health Laboratories (BPHL) is seeking to purchase maintenance and technical support for state-owned 7500FAST DX analytical instruments. These instruments are utilized for bioterrorism testing, influenza testing, arbovirus testing, and mycobacterium tuberculosis testing. The Department is requesting sole source authorization to purchase maintenance and technical support from Life Technologies/Thermo Fisher Scientific, as the instruments and software are proprietary and can only be serviced by the manufacturer.
• The contract is for a period of three years.
• The estimated dollar amount for the contract is $950,000.00.
• The Department is requesting information from prospective vendors regarding their ability to supply the commodities or contractual services described.
• The contract will be awarded to a single source, as the products and services are only available from Life Technologies/Thermo Fisher Scientific.
