The City of Raleigh is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a turnkey replacement of the existing splash‑pad filter at Dix Park’s Gipson Play Plaza. The work includes removing the existing 10‑hp pump and Defender filter, transporting the old equipment to City storage, installing a new Neptune Benson high‑rate fiberglass filter (provided by the City) in the pump room, updating all associated plumbing, wiring, and control systems, and completing startup and leak testing. An $8,000 owner‑contingency is included in the lump‑sum bid. • Scope: remove old filter, move to storage, install new filter, replace piping (Schedule 80), relocate UV controls, install pressure gauges, sight glass, air relief, backwash line, and load sand media. • Deliverables: fully operational splash‑pad filter system, as‑built documentation, and warranty of one year. • Mandatory pre‑bid meeting on‑site 23 Sept 2026 (attendance required). • Questions due 25 Sept 2026; bids due 9 Oct 2026 via email. • Contractor must provide proof of NC licensing, insurance, and compliance with E‑Verify and Iran Divestment Act.
