Capitol Building Exterior Door Repair

The State of Colorado is seeking a contractor to repair the exterior doors of the Capitol Building. The doors are currently not functioning properly and need to be repaired or replaced. The contractor will be responsible for assessing the condition of the doors, providing a detailed report of the necessary repairs, and completing the work in a timely and professional manner. The contractor must have experience with door repair and replacement, and must be able to work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and glass. The contractor will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in compliance with relevant building codes and regulations. Some key points to consider include: • The doors are 3'-6" wide, with a centerline of frame to centerline of frame being 3'-8". • The threshold should be approximately 1'-2" deep to bridge the gap between the existing granite at the exterior and the existing marble flooring at the interior. • The door position switch and card reader will be provided by others. • The doors will be exit only, with no exterior trim or cylinders provided. • The previously approved Von Duprin exit device should be used, rather than the Adams Rite product.
