Technical Grade Methanol

The El Paso Water (EPWater) is seeking proposals for the supply of Technical Grade Methanol. The contract will be for a period of one year, with an estimated annual usage of 200,000 gallons. The supplier must guarantee an uninterrupted supply for the duration of the contract, including during market shortages. The Technical Grade Methanol must be manufactured in the United States and meet specific specifications, including a purity of 99.8% by weight and a specific gravity of 0.791-0.793 @ 20 degrees C. The supplier will be required to provide a current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and a Certificate of Analysis with each load of methanol delivered. Some key points to consider: • The contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria, which includes experience, cost, and responsibility and reliability. • The supplier must provide a comprehensive summary that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the required scope of services. • The supplier will be required to provide emergency delivery within 24-48 hours upon request. • The contract will be for a period of one year, with an option to renew. • The supplier will be required to provide a payment bond and a performance bond.
