National Technical Assistance Resource Center on Disaster/Emergency Preparedness, Response & Recovery for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

The Administration for Community Living is seeking applications to establish a national technical assistance and resource center to provide direct assistance and guidance to States and Territories in addressing the safety needs and access to adequate support of individuals with disabilities during emergencies or disasters. The center will aim to provide technical assistance, resources, and information at the State, Federal, and local level as part of the response and recovery efforts. Key aspects of this opportunity include: • Providing technical assistance and resources to States and Territories to address the unique needs of individuals with disabilities during disasters or emergencies • Building the capacity of State and local emergency agencies to support the safety of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities • Providing direct assistance and guidance to States and Territories in the response and recovery phases of emergency planning • Establishing a national technical assistance and resource center to coordinate these efforts
