Description
The Brazos River Authority (BRA) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive solid‑waste collection, transportation, and disposal services for the Possum Kingdom Lake area. The contract requires weekly curbside collection of refuse containers, prompt response to service complaints, provision and maintenance of collection equipment, and delivery of waste to a TCEQ‑approved landfill or transfer facility. The contractor must self‑perform 100 % of the work (no subcontractors) and comply with all state environmental and safety regulations. The initial term is one year with the possibility of up to four one‑year extensions, for a total potential duration of five years.
• Service area: Possum Kingdom Lake (≈ 39 waste containers)
• Collection frequency: Minimum once weekly for front‑load dumpsters; roll‑offs within 3 days of request
• Hours: 6 AM – 6 PM, Monday collection plus holiday adjustments
• Equipment: Sealed packer‑type trucks, covered loads, TXDOT/TCEQ‑compliant vehicles
• No hazardous‑waste pickup; contractor responsible for spillage caused by its operations
• Insurance: Minimum $2 M general liability, $1 M workers’ comp, plus automobile, pollution and employer liability limits
• Payment: Time‑and‑materials, not‑to‑exceed contract price, invoiced within 30 days of acceptance
